ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1) Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set up and dress code of the restaurant.

2) Maintain complete knowledge of all beverage selections, correct glassware and garnishes in the restaurant.

7) Complete opening side duties as assigned:

e) Ensure a sufficient supply of all silverware, glassware and Chinaware for service.

g) Set up and inspect the condition of check presenters with pens.

8) Organise assigned station and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival.

9) Review reserved tables and names of such; follow up on special arrangements for pre-assigned tables according to standards.

10) Review daily specials and maintain awareness throughout the shift.

11) Greet guests and suggest beverage order; take beverage order, utilising up-selling techniques and record orders following service standards.

12) Relay daily specials with brief descriptions; answer all questions on menu selections accurately and offer suggestions.

15) Direct and work closely with the Servers and Buspersons in assigned station on service timing, additional table wares for courses and items to serve/remove from each table in accordance with restaurant standards.

16) Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from bar and serve to guest in accordance with the restaurant standards.

27) Total all charges, present guest checks according to restaurant procedures and process payments through the Cashier.

28) Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.

29) Extend appreciation for guests’ patronage.

30) Ensure tables are cleaned and reset immediately after guests depart in accordance with restaurant standards; assist as required to ensure optimum service levels.

31) Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organisation of assigned station and service areas.

32) Complete closing side duties as assigned:

33)Complete all closing reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to manager
