"Other" 和 "another" 都用来表示“其他的”，但两者用法有所不同。
"Other" 用来表示一组事物中的另外一个。例如，"I have six pens, and I need another one. Do you have any other pens?" （我有6支笔，我需要再多一支。你还有其他的笔吗？）
"Another" 则用来表示与已经存在的事物不同的事物。例如，"I have one pen, can I borrow another one from you?" （我有1支笔，我能从你这里借另一支吗？）
同时，“the other”则指的是两个中的剩余之一。例如，“Which shoe do you want, the black one or the other one？”（你想要哪双鞋，黑色的还是另一只？）
