用that引导定语从句。the days为先行词，that指代the days，followed修饰先行词、接下来的日子。关系代词that在从句中做主语，不能省略、如果没有that后面的follow就缺主语。或者说：during the following days、following为前置定语。

where引导非限制性定语从句。后面的从句完整、关系副词where在从句中作状语、修饰New York。
