英语短语问题

我是个高三学生， 刚才看大学四六级范文看到了个短语“to name but a few”是“and so on，etc”的意思！ 作文里用“and so on，etc”好还是to name but a few 好？

对高三 to name but a few 应该不太难，是可以用的。

但是 “and so on，etc” 不对，因为 and so on 和 etc 放在一起是重复的。
例句：
Many classmates have helped put this together: John, Mary, Robert, Michael, to name but a few.
I need some help getting ready for dinner, setting the table, taking out the food, and so on.
There are many modes of transportation today, such as airplanes, trains, buses, private cars, etc.

to name but a few 相当于to name just a few,意思是“这仅仅例举一小部分”；and so on 或etc意思是“等等”。这几个短语意思差不多。
