赞美诗《奇异恩典》原唱是凯瑟琳·詹金斯。
《奇异恩典》由英国牧师约翰·牛顿于1779年作词，是一首忏悔和感恩的赞美诗。约翰·牛顿1725年出生于伦敦，父亲是一位船长，母亲是基督徒，曾与父亲六次出海，直至父亲去世，一次出海遭遇风暴，全船除他一人全部遇难，从此开始宣扬上帝的福音并成为一名传教士。
1764年开始担任圣职，并终身致力于反对奴隶制度。约翰·牛顿精通拉丁和希腊文，满腹经纶，喜欢写诗，一生写过不少感动人的赞美诗，1807年12月21日牛顿去世，约翰·牛顿一生创作了280多首的赞美诗歌，《奇异恩典》是其中最具有代表性并广为流传的一首。这首歌曲由凯瑟琳·詹金斯演唱。
