1 stop doing 与stop to do
stop doing 是指停止做某事(指正在做的事)
stop to do 是指停下来去做某事
e.g.Mingming stopped talking with his friends on his way home.
明明在回家的路上停止和朋友说话回家了.(是指不和朋友说话)
Mingming stopped to talk with his friends on his way home.

明明在回家的路上停下来和朋友说话.(是指不回家而和朋友说话)
2 begin doing 和begin to do 其实没什么区别,可以互相转换的.只是看在做把句子补充完整的时候他给你几个格子.

other 就是指除你之外其他的.e.g.other people (其他人)
the other 是指两个之间的另一个,与anther 做比较,anther 是指三个或三个以上中的另一个.
the others = the other +n.复数(可数n.)是指除你所指的之外其他所有的.就是把一个事物分成两部分,除一部分之外其他剩余的.
4 spend /take /cost
spend 一般用作花时间和花金钱,是人做主语 有短语sb. spends ...(in )doing sth. /on sth. "in"可以省略,但"on"不可以.
take 一般用作花时间和带走(某物)短语有It takes sb. ... to do sth. "it"做形式主语,后面的"to do sth."才是真正的主语.
cost 一般用做花金钱.是物做主语的. e.g.The shirt costs 20yuan.
