一、“五段法”的基本结构
“五段法”模式的结构形式多种多样，主要有以下几种：
1、小标题式。全文分三个小标题，一个标题扣一个角度。
2、章节式。全文分为三大章，以“一”“二”“三”标出。
3、隔行式。全文分三节，每节间隔一行。
4、诗句引领式。用三句诗分别引领三个部分。
5、三节连缀式。没有明显标志，但有段首总括语或段末收束语、过渡语等，使层次显得非常清晰。
二、“五段法”作文的开头与结尾
1、开头
“五段法”作文的开头方式也是多种多样的，一般说来有以下几种：
(1)类比点题法，即首段用类比的方式引出全文主题。这种形式一般是由自然现象入用，引出社会现象。
(2)比喻点题法。即首段用精彩的比喻，最好是排比式或连喻式，以此来点明主旨。这种形式可以由实到虚，增添文采。
(3)议论点题法，即在开头用一段精彩的议论来直接点题。一般而言，这段议论一定要精辟有力。
(4)题记法，即设计一个精彩的题记，用精警的语言扣住话题，引出正文。运用这种方法一定要注意题记的语言一定要精练到位。
(5)情境引入法，即先设定一种情境，然后由这个特定情境自然展开，引出正文，这种方法一般是先写自己在受到外界的某种触发，而后引发出一系列的联想。这种方式在展露文采方面有自己的优势。
(6)直入正题法，即直接进入文章主体部分，不在开头进行过多的纠缠。
2、结尾
文章结尾的方法也多种多样，就“五段式”而言，一般可采用总结法进行收束，即对那三句画龙点睛的话进行概括升华即可。当然我们为了强有力下豹尾，还可以进行一些加工，我们可以参看例文，寻找一些具体的方法和捷径。
三、“五段法作文”的主体
“五段法”作文的主体由“三个角度”和“三句画龙点睛”的话组成。这三个角度是对话题的具体展开，这三句话是对这三个角度的精练概括。
角度的切分
找准三个角度，总结出这三句话，是“五段法”作文成功的关键，只要能找到这三个角度，我们的思路就会豁然贯通，成文则不难矣。
角度切分的方式是非常灵活，因文而异的，它是对话题的具体化和明确化的过程。在切分时，有时我们可以从概念入手，先将之分成几个侧面，然后再去联想相关实例，但有时在思路不易打开时，也可以先联想相关的实例，然后有意识地从不同的角度去分析，从而找到三个合适的角度。具体的切分方式有下面二种：
(1)平面切分
即从一个层面上对话题进行思考，找出其不同侧面，这时这三个角度是并列的。这是这种作文模式最常用的方法，上面几例可以说都是这方面的典型。
(2)纵向切分
即从不同层面对话题进行思考，三个部分有逐层深入的关系，这时这三个角度是递进式的或是相承式的。如果有时打不开思路，无法从三个层面进行开掘，可以考虑将其中的一个角度分成正反两面的方式，从而成“三”。
