中国元旦习俗主要有燃放炮竹，敬鬼神，拜祭先人。一般机关，企业会举行年终集体庆祝活动，但民间活动很少。

3.保留着中国传统的庆祝方式就在于民间了，尤其是在农村。每到元旦，家家户户都会燃放炮竹，杀鸡宰鹅的，拜祭过各方神灵后，就是一家人团圆，聚一餐。
