为什么我在词典上看到这样一句话："He was angry about the noises in the next room"?“noise”不是不可数名词吗？

NOISE当不可数名词的时候表示sound of any kind (especially unintelligible or dissonant sound)--噪音

There is so much noise in this restaurant; I can hardly hear you talking.
这个餐厅里太嘈杂了，我几乎听不到你说话。
The least noise would startle the timid child.
最小的响声也会吓着这个胆小的孩子的

NOISE也有复数形式,这时它就是可数的,不过通常用复数形式

She made polite noises about my work.
她对我的工作情况说了些客套话.
He made all the right noises.
他说了许多得体的应酬话.
