Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for the Master of Landscape Architecture programme at NUS. Most important element of your application will be an interesting and inspiring portfolio, showing your own works as a creative mind. The portfolio has to be sent by regular mail, the formal application process is online based.

8 January 2011 is the deadline for online submission of the application. S$20 (inclusive of GST) nonrefundable application fee is applicable for each application.

KEY INFORMATION
TOEFL/IELTS scoresheet - Applicable to candidates whose medium of undergraduate instruction is not English). The TOEFL score must be at least 580 (PBT), 237 (CBT) or 92 (IBT), or The IELTS result of at least 6.0. TOEFL score sheets should not be more than 2 years old when used in applying for the programme. The school TOEFL code is 9080.
A4 size academic design portfolio - The portfolio should comprise the candidate’s most important, representative, interesting, and inspiring design work.

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Landscape Industry Scholarship Programme – Masters of Landscape Architecture is a combined partnership by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and landscape industry employers to attract and retain talents in the landscape industry and to offer a pathway to attain professional qualifications within the landscape industry.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The scholarship programme is open to all landscape professionals who meet the following requirements:
(a) Applicant must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident
(b) Applicant must meet the entrance requirements stated by NUS
(c) Applicant must be accepted via interview selection comprising of representatives from NUS, WDA, participating landscape employer and landscape industry associations
(d) Applicant must have the passion, desire and potential to contribute to the dynamics of the landscape architecture industry
A 12-week bridging course will be made available by NUS to prepare successful applicants who were not from the landscape architecture field previously.
FUNDING DETAILS
The funding for the scholarship programme is as follows:
(a) Course fees for 2 years
(b) Stipend for 2 years
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The scholars will be bonded to work for 2 years in the landscape industry, subject to the terms and conditions agreed between the landscape employer and scholarship recipient. Scholars will be required to pay back the full course fees to WDA and the participating Landscape industry employer should they break the bond period or do not complete the programme.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications for the scholarship open in 14 September 2009 and close on 8 January 2011. Applicants must complete and send in the scholarship application form with the required supporting documents to the following address by 8 January 2011.

Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a selection interview with the Landscape Scholarship Programme Committee.
Applicants are also required to submit a separate application for the Master of Landscape Architecture Programme.
