In history, the American and Chinese development has comparatively little communications.So,this leads American and Chinese to have different core values.
I summerize the American core values into two words: free and individualist.Americans do things more freely. Like, in their classroom, it doesn’t have that much principle.Students can sit on the table and directly point out the teacher’s mistake when the teacher is wrong. Also, American youth like to have the hiking. They just bring a tent, some food and tools to get close to the nature. And they travel to the place where they like and sleep outside door. All they do is to freely enjoy themselves. Another characteristic of the American value is individualist. American mother will teach their children independent from an early age, so they can do something only by themselves when they are young.And in their eighteens, most of American youth will move out from their parents house to live alone and have their individual life. And ,they do many things always just by themselves. However, individualist doesn’t mean they don’t care about their friends and family. They will go out and play with their friends and frequently connect with family.
Then, let’s turn into Chinese core values. Compared with American free and individualist, Chinese seem to have more principles and like to get along with others. In the class, Chinese students needs to sit up on their seat and can’t talk with the deskmate irrelated with the class. What’s more, Chinese daily life, they have more principle or concept to lead their life. These concept is formed from Chinses history and is intend to be harmony with other people.In another part, Chinese like to study together, work together and live together. This is Chinese life style, people live together can help each other and share the happiness and sadness.
Above all, even though Chinese and American have the different core values, we all live a wonderful life and make much contribution to the world’s development, Maybe one day, the world will become a big family, and all these values will get used to the new world. But all these values will not disappear, they will be a part of the new world’s value.
